Veteran studio executive and entertainment strategist Ellen Pittleman launched Hybrid Entertainment in June 2008 after various roles in her 10+ years with Paramount Pictures. Hybrid offers entertainment-consulting services using Pittleman’s operating experience with worldwide theatrical, television and home entertainment production and distribution.
The company provides services for International Sales Agents, International Distributors and Independent Producers with a focus on how to optimize projects' and limit a company's exposure to maximize return on investment. Services include Sales and Distribution, Project Development and Production and General On-Site Festival and Market Assistance. Clients rely on the company's distribution experience, expertise and far reaching relationships and have included the NZ Film Commission, creative consulting for The Film Department, and worldwide distribution strategies for narrative feature releases of “Flying Lessons,” “A Good Funeral” and Sundance World Documentary Competition title “An African Election,” among others.
Pittleman authored the NYT’s Screenline 2009 Worldwide Box Office Review and often guest lectures to audiences which have included the DGA, NYU’s Tisch School for the Arts in Singapore, the Erich Pommer Institute’s Trans Atlantic Partners, Cannes Film Festival Producers Roundtable and Whistler Film Festival, among others.
Hybrid continues to provide development services for a number of independent production companies as well as actively developing their own original slate with films from Australia, Brazil, China and the United States. A few of those titles are listed on the following pages.
